Blogging…?

I’ve been here before. Too blog or not to blog.

To risk the slings and arrows of outrageous readers or to remain unknown is again the question of the moment. I’m asked myself many times before.

“Self, I have waited, for years for definite clear writing on the wall to justify this urge to publicly share my thoughts in a daily blog. Yes or no?”

The next question: what would I contribute, as insignificant as I am? But it’s not the little me I’m sharing, it’s something more. It’s that which enlivens the beast with light and inspiration.

Who is this blog for? I don’t know. Anyone who’ll read it? A somewhat nebulous target audience. Not sure that anyone will read it. High hopes that everyone will read it.

But not everyone can read, especially a blog that has no special focus, written by a nobody, with nothing in particular in mind.

All the more reason to go for it? Infinite potential and limited appeal. It’s like gambling.

I’m not the only one believing that sharing their personal musings is going to be interesting to anyone else, unless there’s some kind of benefit, catharsis, epiphany or transformational experience that will have universal appeal across genres and all other differences. Universal includes every race, culture and across economic strata. That’s a big order. I’m not sure I can do that, but I’m willing to give it a try.
